Fruit Wipes

Brilliant Idea: Fruit Wipes Born: Sometime around 2004 Died: Shortly thereafter Cause of death: Neglect The idea for Fruit Wipes came about one day during lunch hour in the workplace. I had an apple but no sink nearby to wash it. I thought that there should be a disposable towel specific for food use, similar to packaged, single use towelettes used to clean up sticky fingers after an order of chicken wings. The difference would be that the cleaning solution with which the disposable material was impregnated with would have to be non-toxic and safe for human consumption, flavorless, and leave no film or residue that would impart any unwanted texture or mouthfeel to the food item to be consumed. The idea resurfaced again in March 2020, during the Coronavirus COVID19 pandemic. The ability to thoroughly wash any fruit surface, either prior to eating or cutting/slicing, and effectively kill any surface bacteria, would make a killing on a commercial level.
